It distorts everything measured in pesos: nominal revenue growth can be a real decline, and a healthy-looking ROAS may not cover margin. That is why we measure Argentine campaigns against CPI-adjusted revenue and against margin, not against the platform number.
It depends on the business; there is no single answer. Google captures existing demand (works when the category is already searched) and Meta generates it (works for discovery and repurchase with CDP audiences). In Argentine ecommerce we usually run both, coordinated, with the mix reviewed by incrementality rather than platform attribution.
With prior segmentation: the expensive Hot Sale mistake is giving the discount to the whole base. We build audiences that exclude those who would buy without the promo, prepare flows and campaigns weeks ahead, and measure the event against a control group.
